Dr Theodora Boutsikou is Associate Professor of Pediatrics-Neonatology in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Medicine.
She is involved in teaching under- and post-graduate Medical students, Clinical fellows and Registrars in Pediatrics- Neonatology. She is a member of 14 Dissertation Committees and 2 Advisory Committees for Master of Science Diplomas, as well as member of Examining Committee in 10 Doctorate Dissertations. She teaches in 2 Elective Courses and 4 Post-Graduate Programs. She is the author of Chapters in 5 multi-author Medical books and she is a Reviewer in 15 International Medical Journals.
She has participated in funded research projects and European multicenter studies and she is a member of several Scientific Commmitees (Educational Committee- Department of Mother’s- Child’s Health in Athens Medical School, Baby Friendly Committee in Aretaieio University Hospital, Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Neonatal Society). She has served as a Secretary of the Department of Mother’s- Child’s Health and Member of the General Assembly in Athens Medical School.
Her research includes a total of 44 publications in International journals (IF 118.314, 948 citations, Η-index 16). She has 26 abstracts published in International journals and 8 publications in Greek journals. She has participated in 101 International and 101 Greek Congresses with abstracts or oral presentations and has received 3 first prizes in International and 4 in Greek Congresses. She has participated in 23 Congresses as a member of the Scientific Committee and in 22 as a chairwoman, while she has given 36 lectures as an invited speaker in Congresses and Educational meetings. In total she has 23 participations in post- graduate Educational meetings/ courses, and she has participated in 46 International and 75 Greek Congresses.
