Eleftheria Chatzidaki

Doctor Eleftheria Ηatzidaki is a Consultant Pediatric Neonatologist, Assistant Professor of Neοnatology and Head of the Department of Neonatology & NICU at the University of Crete. She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras and completed her residency in Pediatrics in April 1996. She has been a specialist in Neonatal Intensive Care since 1999 and her research interests focus on a broad range of perinatal and neonatal pathologies. She is a member of 8 Medical Societies, member of the editorial committee in one journal and reviewer in seven medical journals. She has attended 55 conferences and workshops as an invited speaker. She has participated as president in 25 conferences and workshops and as member of the Organizing and Scientific Committees in 30 and 12 conferences respectively. She has 47 publications in peer-reviewed, international journals(1150 citations), 39 publications in Greek journals and more than 220 abstracts in Greek and International Conferences. She has also authored 5 chapters in medical books. She has participated as lead researcher or co-researcher in 8 research programs and multicenter clinical trials. Since May 2014, she has been actively involved in the Hellenic Neonatal Society as Vice President (2014-2016), Secretary General (2016-2018) and Member (2018 to date).
