Dr Terry Wong is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital.

 

Terry graduated from Cambridge University, and St. Batholomew’s Hospital, and underwent postgraduate training at St. Thomas’ Hospital and  the Institute of Liver Studies, Kings College Hospital, where is completed is MD thesis.

Prior his current post he was a Consultant Hepatologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham where he set up the West Midlands regional EUS referral centre. Terry has served as an elected member of the BSG endoscopy, oesophageal, and hepatology committees. Terry was one of the first endosonographers in the UK to perform interventional EUS, was one of the first endoscopists to perform Spyglass cholangioscopy in the UK, and is currently the HPB lead at Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital. He is the chair of the South East London HPB cancer alliance. He has over 70 peer reviewed publications in various fields including HPB endoscopy, and hepatology.
